Each piece of sustainably sourced wood is inspected and cleaned upon arrival. Raw wood pieces are then hand-selected by Steelwood’s artists based on the product being crafted that day. From there, the wood is lovingly cut, sculpted, sanded, and stained by hand over many days of meticulous labor. Wooden bowls, boards and serving utensils should be cleaned with warm, soapy water and dried immediately. Items should be oiled monthly to prevent the wood from drying out. Never soak or put in the dishwasher.
